Headaches after covid - how long until it stops?

Both me and 9yo dd had mild covid, low grade fever, loss of smell, fatigue etc. My isolation just finished today and dd's finished 2 days ago. We both thought we'd mostly recovered, dd more so than me, but over the last few days we've both had awful headaches. I'm reading this is possibly quite common but I'm wondering if it's happened to anyone else and how long it lasted for? The headaches seem to start off not too bad in the morning and getting increasingly worse throughout the day. Yesterday and day before it felt like it was very sinusey and today it's more of an all over headache and it hurts to move my head or look in a certain direction. A bit migrainey. Dd never normally gets headaches so she's fed up as she thought she'd done with it. And I thought I was nearly out of it as well! It truly is a rotten virus.

About 3 weeks for me. The worst symptom I had. Had it with at vaccines/boosted too!

@TheCatShatInTheHat Christ... Did you just manage it with Paracetamol?

Have you tried ibruprophen, I found helped more, I think the headaches are caused by inflammation as seemed to work better than paracetamol 💐

DP had bad headaches for months after he caught covid. Doctors told him to take paracetamol only and eventually they did stop.

For me it was about 5 months. Aspirin (instead of ibuprofen) helped sometimes, but children can't have aspirin only paracetamol and ibuprofen. Ice packs on the head/neck or both helped or those cool gel strips on the forehead. I also got prescribed amitriptyline for limb nerve pain which helped a little with the headaches, for some people sumatriptan works for migraines, GP's can prescribe these. Curcumin in nano/bioavailable form is also worth trying as an anti-inflammatory.

We have started with these headaches, also with neck ache. It’s really crap.

I can't take ibuprofen unfortunately. It's getting really annoying now for both of us. Only on day 4 of headaches, not keen on the idea of this lasting weeks or months 😭
