A question re potential infection dates

So dh felt rough Monday and Tuesday (21st). Did lft Wednesday which was positive. Confirmed by PCR taken Thursday.

Our household is me (triple vax) dd (double) and ds (8 so unaxed). We've obviously cancelled anyone coming over Christmas but when can we be fairly certain no one else is going to get it from DH? Me and dd doing daily lfts to try and catch any early positives. But if it gets to 30th, so 10 days since dh started feeling ill, could we be fairly confident that no one else is going to test positive? Presuming dh gets negative lfts?

Reason for asking is I normally host nyd and family say they still want to come and dh should be out of isolation by then. I also have a huge piece of beef in the freezer and don't want to start defrosting it then someone ping. Obviously no guarantee we wouldn't get it from somewhere else but we will be more or less self isolating til then anyway.

NYD is 11 days away.

DH started symptoms Monday so as long as he LFT Sunday and Monday and both are clear he can leave isolation then.

So the chances of him having passed it to you are very slim 5 days after that. The chances of catching it at all after that will very much depend on how much you have contact with others.

I don't think after next Monday you'll know who the host source of infection was if you've seen others besides dh during that time either.

DD1 tested positive on the 16th
DS positive LFT on the 21st
DH positive LFT on the 22nd
DD2 and i are still negative.
We awaiting PCR results from tests done on DH,DS, DD2 and myself on the 22nd.

Personally i wont also do LFTs daily for your DS as well.

Thanks everyone. It's sort of what I'm thinking too, if I or the dcs were going to get it, it would be before 30th which is when I would like to confirm everyone. Obviously explaining the time line and letting them make the decision. I figure with daily lfts, and me and dd will do pcrs on 28th we are probably less risk than other family members they would see instead. Would postpone til weekend after but then kids and dh would have been back at school and work so probably higher risk than us staying home or doing outside things for the next 2 weeks.
