My daughter is positive, her partner negative and they have a 3 month old daughter.
Would I be able to see and touch my granddaughter?
Feeling sad :(

Yes you would, she's a close contact but exempt from isolation due to age so absolutely you could if parents agreed

It depends if you mean “because of the rules”, or “because of the risk”.

There is a risk she’ll have covid too. Touching her is not so much the problem, it’s that you breath in her breath, which of course will happen if you’re holding her. Also we’re she to sneeze or cough or whatever you might get droplets from her respiratory system in your mouth/nose eyes. Does the baby have any cold or other symptoms?

How old are and are you vulnerable at all?

Has your DD just tested positive or has she been positive a while?
