Dd did a flow test this morning, checked it when 30 minutes was up, we’ve been out all morning, come home and it’s now showing positive. She’s done two more and they are negative. What do I do? She did have covid 6 weeks ago

Do a PCR.
My son had a couple like this. Faintest line after 30 min.
Negative PCR, but the following week he did have Covid. Unlike you though, he hadn't had it before.

You are meant to throw them away as soon as you read them. They are not valid after the 15 or 30 minutes that you are leave them for.

VanGoghsDog · 24/12/2021 11:27

It specifically says not to read after thirty minutes, so I'd ignore it, especially as the others were negative. I throw mine away after thirty minutes for this very reason!

I think once your outside the 30 minute window a positive is more likely to be contamination or something so I’d ignore it personally.

Thank you for your replies, just had a panic when we read it

Just to say that your dd is exempt from LFT’s for 90 days and only needs a PCR if she develops new symptoms. Largely for this reason i.e there may residual dead virus that is picked up on a test.

And yes, don’t look at them after the stated time - mostly for reasons of sanity! 🙂
