Just done a LFT after feeling fairly rough this afternoon. It’s a faint positive so booked a PCR for tomorrow morning.

I cannot believe it. I’m so fed up, really needed a Christmas break. I know there are worse things going on but I’m worried how I’ll cope illness wise and how I’ll
Make Christmas fun for us. Also have a dog bless her so no idea what we do about walks. So frustrating.

Don't panic. You can always do something special after your isolation once you are all better. Take care x

Ah, join the corona club OP I reckon in a few days there will be so many of us that it's the uninfected that will have to self isolate and we can socialize without worrying about infecting any one.

Do you live with a partner, or just the dog and kids?

Same here for my DS1. Loads of it at school last week and both DS1 and DS2 had PCRs on Sunday as they had temperatures. Both came back negative. Haven’t been out since the weekend. Until today. Both feeling totally better, went to see my parents who we planned to spend Christmas Day with. DD (toddler) also with us, she had a random bug last week with negative PCR. LFTs negative for me, DH (who works for nhs) and the boys this morning. During tea, DS1 began to feel ill and went very red and hot. Said he felt sweaty. Took them straight home, did LFT on DS1. Faint positive. PCRs tomorrow. Am CEV so quite stressed (and was essentially back shielding again) but we’ve all had Covid before and I am much jabbed and have been offered drug therapy if I do test positive. Mostly worried we’ve given it to my parents (who are v relaxed). Have tried to calm DS1 by explaining Santa can still come even with Covid.

Yeah partner, 10 year old and 7 month old dog. Boys were ill at the weekend for a couple of days but we were all positive. So frustrating. I’ve not had it up until now (that I know of) so I suppose concerned. If they PCR is positive so they conform what strain it is? Was going to family Christmas Day and hosting Boxing Day, hadn’t done the food shop. We’ll cope.
