England - confused about isolation rules

I'm aware that the rules have changed a few weeks ago. DS is coughing and did a PCR today. If he is positive, does the rest of our household need to isolate? Blush

No its just advised to take a PCR test as a close contact and if that is negative take a lft every day for 7 days.

Looks like they are going to reduce self isolation period from 10 to 7 days (unless I have read that wrong)
