England - confused about isolation rules

I'm aware that the rules have changed a few weeks ago. DS is coughing and did a PCR today. If he is positive, does the rest of our household need to isolate?

No its just advised to take a PCR test as a close contact and if that is negative take a lft every day for 7 days.

Thank you, that's good to know, how about his sister (14), she has had one dose of the vaccine.

Looks like they are going to reduce self isolation period from 10 to 7 days (unless I have read that wrong)
