Met up with my friend at the weekend. She's done a lft today and it's come back positive. What's the chances of me catching it from her? I'm gutted.

My dd was a contact to 2 people on Friday, she keeps testing and so far has been negative. Of course there’s a chance you could get it but there’s also a chance you won’t.

Having thought about it long and hard, I'd sayHmm..... 50:50

Well I've lived with two positive children for the past 2 weeks (one tested positive a week after the other) and neither me or DH have caught it.

We're both double vaccinated so I'm hoping this is why.

Dd has tested positive at weekend but I’m negative. I’m vaccinated m, she isn’t. We live in each other’s pockets .

My 2 DC and I spent a few hours with friends in their house recently, hugged, kissed on cheek, kids were cuddled on on the bed playing Roblox, she cooked our tea, we sat together squished up at the table eating... The next day my friend and her son both started with symptoms and tested positive. The 3 of us didn't catch it. So it's not a given but no one can tell you how likely it is, you just never know unfortunately.

I really hope I don't catch it. Ive been boosted too. We spent a few hours together in the pub. So I'm hoping that as it was a big place it will be fine. But it seems to be spreading like wildfire.
