So far, my family has escaped catching Covid.
My DF has gone to see my brother and SIL in the run up to xmas (they have all also not had covid so far) and they had people over on Sunday who have tested positive yesterday for Covid. Stupid I know. My DF, brother and SIL have all gone for PCR tests today.
DF is meant to be having Christmas with my family but if the PCR is negative is that an accurate result if the people they were with only tested positive yesterday?
I'm really worried about DF coming on xmas eve if hes tested negative from todays test but couldn't potentially have Covid but its not shown up properly on the PCR as its too soon. Would a LFT be more accurate if he took it on Thursday?
Me and DH have had all vaccines. I've had booster and DH is due his in a couple weeks but I'm in my 3rd trimester of pregnancy so really nervous we could catch it but dont want DF being left on his own for Christmas.
