Symptomatic or not?

I tested positive on Sunday by lateral flow. Was testing as my son was positive.
My only "symptoms" have been really bad lower back pain, headaches, body aches during the night and tiredness.

I'm now worried that as I don't have covid symptoms, if I do suddenly get them that my 10days starts again. Already cancelled Christmas and moved it to new years eve but if my 10 days starts again then that's our postponed Christmas cancelled too.

Back pain has been reported with omicron, along with aches and fatigue.

Firstly, have you followed up with PCR tests to confirm you definitely have covid and if it comes back positive then you do the 10 days isolation. At the moment it’s only if you continue to have a temperature that you should stay in isolation.

I got a pcr done today but am expecting it to come back positive as my son has it and my initial lateral flows were negative but I've done 3 positive ones now.

I'm wondering as the guidelines say if you're asymptomatic and test positive but then go on to develop symptoms then your 10 days start again from the day of symptoms.

As @SoSickOfItNow has posted though, it sounds as if I may have the omicron variant so hopefully the symptoms I do have are counted as symptoms despite not being a cough, temperature or loss of taste/smell.

No I don't think you have to start again with isolating as long as you don't have a fever that goes on beyond the 10 days!
On day 4 here with very mild symptoms!

I’m afraid this happened to me. T&T didn’t recognise my symptoms and make me count my isolation from PCR test date:

This is my worry. Tbh I will just go with my symptoms date then as there comes a point where common sense needs to prevail.
It seems like the 3 main symptoms are not the 3 main symptoms at all anymore so I don't know why it's not been updated.

Go with the muscle aches and tiredness as symptoms. That’s what I did. As they are the symptoms of Omicron.
