Travel advice - positive result

Hi MN,

Wondered whether anyone happens to know the answer to this.

I am advising someone who was due to travel from the UK to their home country last week. They tested positive for covid in their pre-departure test, and so had to rebook their flight and are now self-isolating.

Their flight is rebooked for 10 days after the original, so probably 12 days after their positive test. Are they likely to be able to produce a negative test by then? Won't it still show positive even if they've completed self-isolation?

I'm sure they can show the evidence of a positive test and when they got it so showing they have completed isolation.

Have a look at the carriers website and that'll give you a definite answer.

Thank you. The airline website doesn't comment on this specific scenario unfortunately...
