Putting off testing...

I have a rotten cold and sore throat, none of the three named symptoms, but then I didn't have them for the first week when I had Covid.

I haven't been anywhere today so I haven't tested, I feel really anxious about it being positive and life coming to a standstill again.

Obviously I will have to before I go anywhere, it's ridiculous, the sooner I know the sooner any isolation period ends but ftb, what I don't know can't hurt me...

Hurry up cos they are saying in some areas, pcr results taking 3+ days to come back atm.

Have you done an lft? How will you get a pcr if you don’t have any of the 3 symptoms and aren’t a close contact?

I won't do a PCR unless I get a positive LFT, I don't "qualify". I'm putting off the LFT.

I get the reluctance but as @Topsyandtimison37 says, PCRs aren’t always very quick atm.
Put on your big girl pants and do it, if only for a shorter isolation period.
That said, if you’re +ve then these would be considered symptoms as I believe more cold-like symptoms are now on the list as possible Covid symptoms.

Cold like symptoms are still not on the NHS official list, however during the booking process it just asks you whether you have “symptoms”.

Scientists such as Tim Spector of the Zoë app have identified cold like symptoms as being the top five most common ones with delta and omicron though.

Well I did the test first thing this morning, negative, but I've heard of another 3 friends/family of friends who have it already this morning. It does feel like it's only a matter of time.
