Does no announcement today mean we’re in the clear for Christmas at least?

So 24 hours to recall parliament - that’s Wednesday they would be back, then 48 hours to debate vote, Christmas Eve.

Not impossible but highly unlikely they’ll announce on Christmas Eve as so many people will already be with their families?

Over the weekend radio reports were speculating recall Parliament next Monday. I think there’s a cabinet meeting going on now.

There is no way this political party will cancel Christmas again. I'm not saying the 27th onwards is safe though.

The PM is on bbc news now.
They are looking at the data still , not much has changed really.

Overthebow · 20/12/2021 17:13

Yes pretty much. Everyone will have already travelled for Christmas by the time they could do anything now.

Hairwizard · 20/12/2021 17:31

They can fuck off.

Sure we can just hold 'work meetings' with cheese and wine...
Or maybe you need to travel miles away to have your eyes tested
Or maybe you need to travel miles away for childcare

Yep.... my Christmas working will be saved and my time with family on the 29th will be cancelled 😭

Aderyn21 · 20/12/2021 17:44

I'm thinking 27th is when it all goes to shit - just in time for my birthday!
