How much did your arm hurt after the booster? Had mine this morning and I’m in agony….can barely use my arm.

I had it on Friday morning - by Friday night it was agony! Saturday I couldn’t lift my arm at all, it was ok if I kept my upper arm pinned to my side but I literally couldn’t lift it up fully without shouting in pain. Today was much better - it’s sore but useable.

My daughter had hers yesterday. Her arm was and still is agony almost immediately after the jab. She's been running a temperature and aches all over but feels a little better tonight. Fingers crossed she sleeps and wakes up feeling more human!
Hope you are quickly on the mend x

Yes, sore! The actual injection hurt too.

My in-laws both said the same when I saw them this afternoon.

BeyondOurReef · 20/12/2021 00:52

It was really sore. For a couple of days.

I had the AZ first time around and no side effects. Not even a sore arm of any description.

I was surprised how sore my arm was after the moderna booster (half a dose too). I couldn’t really use my arm properly. The injection was sore too. I’m actually quite glad I hadn’t had two full doses of it in the initial rounds.

Didn’t feel the injection thankfully. Hope it doesn’t last too long….2 more days at work to deal with xx

I had mine at noon on Friday, by 7pm my arm was in agony. It's was ridiculous how much it hurt. Thankfully, it was much better by Saturday morning.

SunscreenCentral · 20/12/2021 00:58

Same here! I had 2 shots of Pfizer, not a bother, & minimal soreness

The Moderna, the shot itself was a good bit ouchier and my arm is really quite sore tonight
Hopefully better tomorrow

I did have Moderna for my first two rounds and my arm was no where near as sore as from the booster.

My arm started bursting about 6 hours after the Moderna booster injection and hurt a lot for 24 hours and then a bit for another 24 hours. All fine after that.

I had Moderna for dose 1 and 2. First one no pain in the arm at all; second one it hurt for several weeks!

SageYourResoluteOracle · 20/12/2021 01:07

I had a Moderna booster this morning and although I didn’t feel the needle, I now have a comedy cartoon-style ‘egg’ on my arm. It’s sore! I feel a wee bit grotty too but had Moderna for jabs 1 & 2 and have reacted every single time. I hope your arm feels better soon @feeona123

GertrudeKerfuffle · 20/12/2021 01:23

Wednesday night I had it, then Thursday and Friday it hurt like buggery if I tried to lift my arm above my head. It's ok now, just slightly sore if I touch it.

Not as bad as the flu jab I had last winter. I swear the bloody woman stabbed me in the bone or something, my arm hurt for MONTHS.

feeona123 · 20/12/2021 08:21

Thanks all, woken up a bit less sore today. Managed to put my hair up!
