Lost PCR?

Has anyone experienced their PCR test being lost?

Visited a drive-through site 58 hours ago and still no result. I called 119 this morning who told me my test had been registered but that doesn’t mean it hasn’t been lost.

Just starting to lose hope now that I’m going to get a result. I’ve missed 3 days of work now.

Last Christmas our son's PCR was lost. Loads of phone calls etc and basically got told nothing they could do. 119 were useless - no two answers the same, no help finding the result. Waste of space.

Suspected he was probably negative - but was being cautious. Back then, we all had to isolate. Christmas Eve was first day out of isolation and it was rather busy.

Yes me. Tested end of November and am still waiting. I did chase it and the bar code had never been linked to me, luckily I tested because I was a close contact so kept to myself for ten days

my results didn't come back. After 72 hrs 119 checked for me and couldn't find it. They escalated it to the mixing result team and with 2 hrs I had the result. Not sure how they managed to find it but they did

Yep. Dd had a home PCR around 4 weeks ago, following symptoms and also her having been a covid contact (at nursery). After not getting a result back in 7 days I called, they advised it was lost. Couldn’t find it. They said they escalated but never heard back and we completed the isolation anyway. Don’t hold out much hope!

I’ve just heard that two of our four tests have gone missing…the other two are positive so we’re all isolating over Christmas anyway. @Femisaurus Good to hear that there is some hope of them finding it! Hoping to see family the day we get released so would be good if everyone has actually had and is clear by then…. Very nervous about lateral flow tests as we had 2 positive pcrs 2 hours after 2 negative LFTs!

I wouldn't trust the LFTs. I'm still testing negative on them despite classic covid symptoms and positive PCRs

They just found our results two hours after phoning 119…negative!

I got my result this morning. I posted it on Friday and rang test and trace yesterday to chase it up. It had been registered but no record of it at the lab.
