Free LF tests

I met a friend yesterday who had just flown in from the states. She couldn’t believe that LF tests in the UK are free for everyone to use for regular testing (not for travel obviously). In the states, they cost seven dollars per box. Sometimes we forget how lucky we are to have free health care…

We don’t have free health care. Our children will be paying for this pandemic for years.

I had a (British) friend who lives in the states and he’d posted something about obamacare back when it was fist being talked about.
American people then posted on his page raging about how it wasn’t right that they were expected to pay for everyone’s healthcare. They just couldn’t grasp that paying a % of earnings monthly would be better than paying $$$ to give birth, face the choice of bankruptcy to pay for cancer drugs or die, be in debt for life for being treated after getting caught up in a mass shooting. It was bizarre.

Yorkshire peach is an American on TikTok who now lives over here. She raves about the NHS & the ‘free’ healthcare.
