PCRs posted on a Saturday

Anyone have experience to tell us how quickly they got their back? We are in inner London so I imagine the labs are quite busy

Posted one on Thursday, came back overnight last night (not inner London though).

Posted Friday too (before 5pm in time for the last collection at 6pm) and no word yet.

I'm London, zone 1.

Posted on Friday evening (one hour before the last collection), still not heard anything. Since then my husband tested positive (lft then drive through pcr).
We also got emails reminding us to take home tests and post them last night, probably means they lost out pcr tests we posted on Friday?

I don't think it means they are lost. I got the same email (it says to ignore if you've already posted the test back)

Pre omicron but I posted daughters on a Saturday and got result back Monday evening

South East just outside of London

Posted on Saturday afternoon before the last collection and nothing yet. Royal Mail tracking still says nothing and to check tomorrow. Really hoping it comes back soon but looks like it's gonna be quite a wait

Last Saturday afternoon I posted my PCR about 2 p.m. in a priority post box and I got my result back on Wednesday morning at 9.45 a.m. I'm in the North East.

Still no results from pcr test sent Friday. The Royal mail tracking show it was received just after midnight on the Friday night/Saturday morning.

My mum's care home advised they are still waiting for results of tests posted the previous Wednesday. They retested Saturday and have had some results back already. They have always had access to priority testing but something is going wrong with testing.
