Walk in centres - wales

In wales so they haven’t been available to us before.

I’m thinking of going to one tomorrow but will need to take my son and worried it will be hours standing in the cold.
Anyone know how bad they are?

In England it varies from one centre to another

DH isn't going to a walk in as he's been reading the reports that are saying that the walk in appointments are supposed to be for specific groups and shouldn't be a free-for-all.

But that's not what our health board are saying. They are having walk in clinics most days in different locations and spreading the word without any mention of limiting who should go.

I went to one with DD on Mon and it took an hour to get jabbed and wait the 15 mins.

It's possible to book online in our health authority now, and dmum and sis went for theirs today and it was a lot quicker.

Tbh when I went to my planned appointment I stood in the queue for an hour. So I don’t think it will be worse.,

a friend of mine went to one and got there before it opened.
after queuing over an hour outside, they were told that all the booster doses had been used up.
and they couldn't say if when they would be back with any more.
it was a mobile centre.
she later managed to make appt at another mobile centre and all was well.
