No explanation needed. Just a yes or no.

For me it's a hard NO.

For those saying no, will you mind if you can’t get any healthcare treatment (not talking COVID), or have to wait hours for an ambulance, as numerous NHS staff are off sick, as people have carried on socialising and spread the virus

TheLovelinessOfBaublyDemons · 19/12/2021 01:21

Yes. I want my son to be able to go places again.

MrsPsmalls · 19/12/2021 01:21

Yes

WhenZoomWasJustAnIceLolly · 19/12/2021 01:22

Don’t think we’ll have a choice

madisonbridges · 19/12/2021 01:22

Yes. I'd hate every minute of it, but yes. Boris Johnson is imploding his party and ending his premiership over this so he must think the figures merit it.

So pretty much like it's been for the past 18 months then ?

UnsuitableHat · 19/12/2021 01:23

Some of it we wouldn’t have much choice with. I’d still want to see family and friends, go to houses etc, but they’d need to be comfortable with that too- you can’t decide unilaterally to break all the rules.

halloweenie13 · 19/12/2021 01:23

Yes it is completely needed.

toomuchlaundry · 19/12/2021 01:24

But probably worse @userxx

But probably worse *@userxx*

Why would it be much worse with the milder variant ?

Because it is much more transmissible, so more people off sick at the same time.

NO

toomuchlaundry · 19/12/2021 01:32

@siteofmoronslol would you want someone with COVID treating you if you were seriously ill in hospital?

onlychildhamster · 19/12/2021 01:39

Yes.
@siteofmoronslol would you want someone with COVID treating you if you were seriously ill in hospital?
Yes it wouldn't bother me. The average age of death from covid is above life expectancy, what " deadly" pandemic do you know has an average mortality age above that of what a human being is expected to live ffs.

The covid deaths are measured by the ONS as all deaths within 28 days of a covid test so if you got ran over and had a positive covid test its a covid death. The vast majority of deaths ( over 90%) are people in hospital with terminal issues not covid related, who have either tested positive before hospital or after it due to the vast number of tests. A person dying at 85 with a common cold 2 weeks earlier hasnt died of a cold.. its utter hysteria. If millions get the moron variant ( omicron) then we will still have the usual deaths like we get every winter but all of them will be moron variant deaths as its within 28 days of the test.

Yes.
The "optional" approach to collective responsibility is just going to make it last longer.

Jenasaurus · 19/12/2021 02:01

YES

JollyAndBright · 19/12/2021 02:06

Yes

KohlaParasaurus · 19/12/2021 02:27

Yes. I work in a health care setting, am likely to be exposed to COVID repeatedly at work, and have no wish to transmit it to anyone else. Besides, if everywhere is shut I'll have no option. My "hands off my private life" crossing point would be restrictions on outdoor exercise on my own or with people from my own household.

Sunshineandrainbow · 19/12/2021 02:29

Yes
