No explanation needed. Just a yes or no.

For me it's a hard NO.

GertrudePerkinsPaperyThing · 19/12/2021 00:38

Probably mostly but not to the letter

Thunderpunt · 19/12/2021 00:39

Under duress, yes as I will be forced to close my restaurant

@GertrudePerkinsPaperyThing Ted Hastings won't approve!

2X4B523P · 19/12/2021 00:42

YES, as I wasn’t planning on socialising over the Christmas period anyway. I have several important “business meetings” to attend though.

Booklover3 · 19/12/2021 00:43

PickAChew · 19/12/2021 00:43

Yes. It's not like I'd have to change much.

No, No, no.

Fuck you Boris and fuck your lockdown.

bizboz · 19/12/2021 00:46

Yes I would. However, the more the government feel the public is less likely to adhere to any restrictions voluntarily, the more likely it is that they will decide things have to be closed so there isn't anywhere to go. I can see cinemas, theatres, nightclubs, maybe pubs and restaurants being told to close, at least for a short time.

My Dad has been waiting months for important surgery. Covid pressure on the NHS affects so many other areas too.

Upyouranty · 19/12/2021 00:47

YABU for not making this a vote

72 No
60 Yes

Up to and including tinsellittis (included in yes are those saying only after Christmas)

DemBonesDemBones · 19/12/2021 00:55

Our only wage comes from hospitality. If there is no furlough...I am trying to keep the anxiety at bay but honestly I am worried sick. The not knowing has ruined Christmas already, really.

Deisogn · 19/12/2021 00:55

Yes, I won't be the one to put my colleagues under even more pressure. I won't be the one who causes someone else to be denied even basic healthcare. What people don't understand is that it you overwhelm the hospitals it will be properly traumatising for those doctors and nurses....I don't think people understand what they are asking for...and it will be too late to say whoops wish I hadn't.

At this point I would be ok with people socialising who are willing to forgo all medical care. Happy to splint your own broken leg? Then crack on. Otherwise do the decent thing even though no one bloody likes it!

We have to keep the numbers at a manageable level and the only way to do that is to limit contacts, vaccinate, masks and distance. Or we accept the alternative of a healthcare system that can no longer provide humane or even basic care. There is no third choice.

PestoSugarPlumFairy · 19/12/2021 00:58

Ellieboolou33 · 19/12/2021 00:59

@Deisogn And how long are you happy to go along with that for ? Another year ? Another two ?

SoItWas · 19/12/2021 01:06

No

Showchin2 · 19/12/2021 01:12

Yes, obviously - the alternative doesn't bear thinking about. Have people really considered their decision?
For those asking how long....as long as it takes Sad

DemBonesDemBones · 19/12/2021 01:13

@Showchin2 and those of us that can't work from home?

ParkheadParadise · 19/12/2021 01:16
