No explanation needed. Just a yes or no.

For me it's a hard NO.

OP posts:
kickupafuss · 19/12/2021 10:17

yes

zafferana · 19/12/2021 10:17
@zafferana you are wrong and the things you are saying are harmful. Stop pointing fingers and ‘othering’ people. That kind of behaviour never ends well.
Oh FFS - people who refuse to be vaccinated are being 'othered' in other countries. Do you have a problem with that? Do you think France is wrong to have a pass sanitaire? That New York City insists that people show proof of vaccine to get into any indoor dining or leisure attraction? That night clubs here in the UK will require a vaccine passport for entry? The simple fact is that if EVERYONE who is able to get vaccinated does so we'd never have to lock down again, because the NHS wouldn't be overwhelmed every time a new variant pops up. You may not like that fact, but it's the truth.

I accept that I may not be able to go to Tesco

Tesco's one place you will be able to go Grin

Though you may not be able to buy a pair of socks

HelloMissus · 19/12/2021 10:17

Also everyone in my industry - film and TV will continue to work unless we’re specifically shut down.
We all lost far too much work during lockdown 1.

Lndnmummy · 19/12/2021 10:18

You lot are insane!! You wouldn't comply?! You do realise the consequences for our children when you make that warped decision. More years of interrupted education and vulnerable children unsafe amd under the radar. You will have blood on your hands.

CliantheLang · 19/12/2021 10:18

No

Receptionclass · 19/12/2021 10:18

No.

LivingOnAnIsland · 19/12/2021 10:19

Yes

UsernameInTheTown · 19/12/2021 10:19

No.

HerewardTheWoke · 19/12/2021 10:20

No. If there is another year of not being able to meet people freely I will not be able to meet a partner and I will get timed out on having children. The government doesn't get to make that choice for me.

Phyllis321 · 19/12/2021 10:20

Yes. Sadly and angrily but I will.

vera99 · 19/12/2021 10:20

I had enough of the wilfully unvaxxed. They should fucking comply.

starrynight19 · 19/12/2021 10:21

Yes in the hope that schools can stay open for all children

YellsiBabs · 19/12/2021 10:21

Nah

trappedsincesundaymorn · 19/12/2021 10:21

@amijustparanoidorjuststoned

To those saying "no" - I don't think you'll have a lot of choice when the schools close for a few weeks!
I don't have children at school so schools being shut makes no difference to me.
Loudestcat14 · 19/12/2021 10:22

No.

KurtWildesChristmasNamechange · 19/12/2021 10:23

@scooterbear

Those saying no-but if everything is shut how will you actually do the non compliance?
By still going to see my family. By still having family and friends in my home. By still letting my DC have their friends here. By taking my DC anywhere that's still open.

No one EVER gets to dictate whether I see my family. No one ever gets to say who comes into MY home. NEVER, EVER AGAIN.

That clear enough?

Phphion · 19/12/2021 10:23

Yes.

userxx · 19/12/2021 10:23

@HerewardTheWoke

No. If there is another year of not being able to meet people freely I will not be able to meet a partner and I will get timed out on having children. The government doesn't get to make that choice for me.

Putting your needs above random strangers....... tut tut.

Emmelina · 19/12/2021 10:23

Yes. Not because Boris says so, but because the NHS is on its ass with high admissions and staff off sick or having to isolate My sister is a nurse and frequently pulls double shifts (and they’re long shifts as it is!) or goes in at short notice because there’s basically nobody else. Admissions need to slow down.

Dentistlakes · 19/12/2021 10:24

It depends. I’m not seeing my elderly parents inside, mostly because they have decided they don’t want to see anyone. I will see them outside and socially distanced. I will see less vulnerable family and friends inside but will be testing beforehand.

PineappleMojito · 19/12/2021 10:26

@KurtWildesChristmasNamechange

Well said.

My teen patients who have parents who think like you have done far, far better mentally, socially and emotionally through this than those whose parents effectively locked them up and tried to comply with every rule. I feel exactly the same - the government will never, ever dictate to me again when and how I see my loved ones. That’s for us to decide as a family/friends.

LuluBlakey1 · 19/12/2021 10:27

Yes

thatsallineed · 19/12/2021 10:28

Like others say - it depends.

Pinotwoman82 · 19/12/2021 10:29

Yes and I’m against lockdowns but with the huge amount of numbers positive each day what choice is there? No police, no fire fighters, no bin men, no shop workers. That’s before you get to the nhs staff. And those saying they will see their family no matter what do you not worry about them catching it off you? My family have all had jabs but have been Ill recently, I’m leaving it up to them to decide but really couldn’t forgive myself if they became ill with covid
