No explanation needed. Just a yes or no.

For me it's a hard NO.

OP posts:

@playmelikeasymphony

Yes. I’m already isolating to keep myself safe.
As I have never had that as an option and have worked throughout there's little point in isolating outside of work tbh.
DumplingsAndStew · 19/12/2021 09:50

Yes

PineappleMojito · 19/12/2021 09:51

Me too. I’ll be working in mental health, “staying home” isn’t an option for me. So damn straight I’m going to see friends and family outside work, I need to stay sane too. So no, won’t comply.

ElectraBlue · 19/12/2021 09:51

No. Will never again comply with any lockdown. Will always continue to see other people/socialise. (triple-jabbed in London)

LittleBabyCheeses · 19/12/2021 09:52

@Hairyfairy01

Yes- because I value the NHS
I did, once. Then over the years we were let down so much that I took an extra job just to pay for private health insurance for my family. I would happily put that extra money back into the system to improve the NHS and make it fit for purpose, but there seems to be no government will to do that.
Rainbowdrops2021 · 19/12/2021 09:52

We can’t save the nhs by simply staying at home. The gov needs to stop wasting money on things like track and trace and start paying a decent wage to nurses so that people actually want to work for the nhs and invest in beds, equipment and ambulances. The lockdowns, vaccines ect just aren’t working!

MillaRennt · 19/12/2021 09:52

No

zafferana · 19/12/2021 09:53

@Benjispruce5

What do the ‘No’ sayers think should be done? Do you think we should let bodies pile up outside A&E?
Vaccine passports - make life REALLY difficult and unpleasant for those who refuse to be vaccinated. When they introduced them in France huge numbers of previous refuseniks rushed out to get vaccinated. Have a decent period of time where you have to show them to get in all cafes, bars, restaurants, theatres, cinemas, gyms and other leisure facilities. Making them mandatory for night clubs is a good start, but doesn't go anywhere near far enough.

@Rainbowdrops2021 I agree with you about investing in the NHS. But lockdowns and vaccines are proven to work. It's just that not everybody is on board with them. While we still have unvaccinated people ignoring the rules things will never get better.

curlymom · 19/12/2021 09:55

Yes of course. I’m a teacher. We will carry on so children get an education. To the ignorants who say no, once the school staff is at a low, which it will be if you refuse to comply no doubt, you will have your kids at home and that will give you something to complain about.

userperuser · 19/12/2021 09:55

refuseniks

What utterly unpleasant terminology.

scooterbear · 19/12/2021 09:56

Those saying no-but if everything is shut how will you actually do the non compliance?

Most people mean that they will not stop seeing family and friends.

What's unpleasant about it?
CaptSkippy · 19/12/2021 09:57

With just the first post I needed an explanation, brcause I had no idea what OP was referring to. It was not till a couple of comments mentioned that it was about complying with a lockdown.

You are very manipulative, OP. No further explanation needed.

What - people's houses are shut? The rumour in the press is that we'll be banned from going in other people's houses.
Iceskatequeen · 19/12/2021 09:58

@Rainbowdrops2021 this is it. Same with schools, the government should be throwing money at the NHS and schools to enable them to cope instead of down the drain on track and trace.

I'm not keen on mandatory vaccines and Covid passports but they are most certainly the better of two evils.

throwaway201809 · 19/12/2021 09:58

Nope. Just bring in harsher restrictions for the non-vacinated.

userperuser · 19/12/2021 09:59

Research the history of the term.

Someone pops up to say this every time...

I'll explain. I'll still see my family. I'll still see my friends. I'll still let my daughter have her boyfriend sleep over. And see her friends. I'll get my hair done in my house and I'll get my nails done in my house. If the pub opens up like last time then I'll go there. That help?

Ivalueloyaltyaboveallelse · 19/12/2021 10:00

Yes

StellaGibson118 · 19/12/2021 10:02

Yes as long as schools remain open. If they close them again I wont be following any further rules. Ive followed every single one from the start and I think schools closing again would be the final straw in my compliance.
