No explanation needed. Just a yes or no.

For me it's a hard NO.

OP posts:
PurpleDaisies · 19/12/2021 09:19

Yes

firstimemamma · 19/12/2021 09:19

Fuck no

DynamiteFilledRadish · 19/12/2021 09:19

No

oftenbaffled · 19/12/2021 09:21

Hell no

Roundeartheratchriatmas · 19/12/2021 09:21

Obviously if places were closed I’d not be able to go to them.

But I would still be seeing one or two people regardless for my sanity (one of whom would be an official bubble - the other not).

I was really unwell last year and I’d consider the first lockdown and all the uncertainty of covid as the trigger. It cost me more than £1000 in private therapy as there’s so little the nhs can do these days unless you have a medical emergency.

Tulipomania · 19/12/2021 09:22

yes

jenniuol · 19/12/2021 09:22

No.
@trappedsincesundaymorn - you're deliberately twisting the intention of my words. My anger is directed at people who feel the rules are not for them. The same people who pretend to be mask exempt because somehow wearing a mask is an assault on their liberties. Selfish self serving people who are in the end prolonging it for all of us. No one wants this.
"I would judge people who don't" your words. How have I deliberately twisted the intention of your words? Unless you personally know the reasons why somebody is not following whatever rules there are you are wrong to judge.

Roundeartheratchriatmas · 19/12/2021 09:23

I also would ignore if it was Xmas day as I did last year. I won’t be separated from my only family over Christmas.

GreatBigBeautifulTommorow · 19/12/2021 09:23

Yes

Because I have a sense of responsibility to wider society.
Because I work in the NHS I can’t bare my colleagues and relatives to go through the horror again of what a large wave will entail.
Because I want my loved ones and I to be able to access healthcare in an emergency.

Newnameobviously · 19/12/2021 09:23

Yes for 2 weeks. No longer.

ZenNudist · 19/12/2021 09:24

You don't really get a choice if everything shuts and your friends and family won't see you. I will see my friends if they want to but I only have one friend I can think of who will come round.

Onandoff · 19/12/2021 09:24

No

Iceskatequeen · 19/12/2021 09:24

@RichTeaRichTea

Well said. No one cares about the detriment that lockdowns have had on me and my family, and they have been far reaching.

All I've heard is that I should suck it up for the greater good.

Watapalava · 19/12/2021 09:26

That won't be happening, everything shutting.

No

WrongWayApricot · 19/12/2021 09:28

Yes

crumpet · 19/12/2021 09:29

Yes, if the object is to relieve pressure on the NHS. 100%.

SwordBilledHummingbird · 19/12/2021 09:30

Yes.

GoodbyePorpoiseSpit · 19/12/2021 09:31

No. I will honour the spirit of the rules and not attend parties/gatherings/cinema/theatre but I’ll be damned if I won’t see double vaccinated and boosted family and friends inside my house or theirs.

DoctorSnortles · 19/12/2021 09:31

Yes. Because I'm not a stroppy idiot.

Pl242 · 19/12/2021 09:32

Yes. It seems obvious to me that steps need to be taken to reduce numbers of cases. I don’t think that can be achieved by asking people not to go to things that remain open. Even IF it’s milder and even if vaccinations prevent hospitalisations, the sheer volume of cases will mean that even if only a tiny proportion of people need to go to hospital then it will overburden the health system. A health system that does not function is bad for us all.

For those people saying no as the government won’t comply with their own rules, I share the anger. But not doing what is needed to get back at the government won’t punish them, if will just punish us all.

Yes. Because I'm not a stroppy idiot.
Makes a change from 'granny killer', I suppose...
