Worth getting a PCR for these symptoms?

Mild headache, dizziness and fatigue. I feel like I’m starting to get a runny nose too. The fatigue is a red herring as I have a condition which causes fatigue.

I have a booster booked for Monday. Can I still have it with these symptoms? Would you book a PCR?

LFT is negative.

Yes. Omicron symptoms being reported as headache and runny nose and fatigue. Don’t panic though. I had the same symptoms and negative but work in hospital so can’t mess about.

Yes definitely, If only to be here you're safe to see anyone you'd like to see in the next week or so

*to be sure

Will I still be able to get my booster on Monday?

No I don't think you can have your booster with symptoms. It's one of the things they'll ask you if you go.

Fishlipandtoeface · 18/12/2021 21:04

No you can’t.

I would with those symptoms and did today for myself

Yes get a pcr. It's not fair to go to a vaccine centre and potentially infect a load of people, including the staff.

DD, who is 23, had nausea early this week and mild dizziness - she tested positive on a lateral flow test yesterday. She is a bit sniffly and a bit tired. No reason to suspect covid but regular testing picked it up. Waiting for pcr result.

If you get a PCR in the morning you should have your result before your booster- if positive obviously you don't get it, if negative you can decide based on how you feel by then or could discuss it with the person administering whilst being able to assure them you are covid negative
