New cases incubation time

Anyone that had a new case in day last 3/4 days firstly get well soon but secondly

How long from contact to start of symptoms or positive result. Just curious to see if the incubation time is quicker than delta.

3-7 days I read but may not be accurate.

Could still be anytime within the 10 days.

About 3 days incubation for us

Incubation must be fast. I do regular lfts, was negative on Tuesday and positive today. Awaiting pcr.

Symptoms were headache (started late Tuesday night) and a stuffy nose.

Dd started with headache and fatigue last Saturday.

I wasn't aware these were even symptoms until I read a thread on here this morning. I wouldn't have known had I not done my regular kft today.

Isolation if pcr is positive appears to be from onset of symptoms so should be OK to leave the house by the end of Xmas eve for me and monday/Tuesday for dd.

Gutted another Christmas looks to be ruined

I’ve mentioned this on a few threads.

Went to a party on Friday. Over 60% of that party had positive PCRs by Monday. Symptoms were scratchy/sore throat initially. Seems likely omicron with such a short time from infection to symptoms/ positive PCR.

As in last Friday obviously!
