Postal PCR- when did you get your result?

We sent ours off just after lunchtime yesterday and I’m wondering how long people generally wait for their results?

Sent DHs Tues at 2pm (although collection was 6pm) and got the email at 2am Thursday morning and text about 8am Thursday.

Posted one on Saturday and had the result Sunday morning.

Posted another one on Tuesday am and got the result Thursday 4am.

Posted another three Wednesday morning, results for one came just now and waiting for the other three results, so it's taking longer and longer.

I imagine it's because of the sudden surge in pcrs being done.

Bloody covid. 2 positive LFTS here with my oldest.
First PCR was inconclusive so hopefully this time it’ll come back with a result.

Posted one last Thursday and got results Saturday 5pm. Posted 3 more Monday and got results Tuesday between 8pm and 10pm. One was inconclusive so posted another one yesterday, but with the cases rising so rapidly I wouldn't be surprised if it took longer this time. But I was quite pleasantly surprised with how quick they were, I had heard some stories of them taking 4 - 5 days

Posted mine Tuesday at 5pm got my results this morning at 6.15am. Thankfully negative

Mine a couple of weeks ago took 4 days, it was ridiculous.

I've had a couple in the last few weeks (for going into hospital as a day patient, they make you test and self isolate before going in. Procedure was then rescheduled for the following week, so had to send for another PCR)

Both times got the result the following day.

Posted Wednesday 2pm, results midnight today (positive, DD). I thought that was pretty quick.

24 hours, negative.

Got ours this morning, positive. Bloody school.
