My PCR has gone missing!

So, did a PCR on Monday - and it was in the post for 1pm.

I've heard nothing.

Does this mean it's missing?! What am I supposed to do?

Last time I had a PCR the results were back within 24 hours.

Or is there a backlog right now?

@CoastalWave I’m in the same boat with dd one, we did it Tuesday in the post by 12.15, not heard anything. Last time I did it we got it back in 24 hours. I tracked the parcel on Royal Mail and it only arrived at midnight last night. I think it’s a mixture of everything

I've posted a few times about this in topics recently. I think its the postal service, not the labs, thats mostly holding things up. Though i expect the labs are busy too.
I tracked mine and it was still at a sorting office almost 48 hours after I'd posted it. It only got to the lab this morning. Still no message
With Omicron, people will be doing more online shopping now as well, which must hold things up, even though covid parcels are supposed to be prioritised

Did you take a note of the Royal Mail tracker so you can see if/when it arrives at the testing centre? You can try to chase it up too, although they were pretty useless when we had one go missing a while back, we just repeated the test.

My last (non-postal) PCR test took three days to come back. The labs used by test sites local to us definitely have a backlog.

That's if I could find it :S husband has cleared up and thing with info on has been binned.

Dd1's was posted Saturday. Didn't get to the lab until Wednesday, just got results back. There's definitely been a delay with royal mail, mine was also delayed getting to the lab. Dd1's seems to have been slow on both stages.

I posted mine yesterday in a priority postbox, the tracking isn't even available yet on Royal Mail so I assume it hasn't even been collected

Just had a negative result through today - So FIVE days!!!
