2 Moderna and Moderna Booster

Has anyone had this combo?

I had my booster tonight and had Moderna alongside my already 2 x Moderna Vaccines.

Anyone else?

Yes me.

So far I’ve a very slightly muzzy head and am a bit tired.

I overdid it an hour ago as we’ve been decorating so I sat down and drank water and am fine so far.

Yep I had mine last Friday morning, have been fine. Was fine after first jab and exhausted after second.

I did! Sore arm only here..

Yes. Had terrible side effects after my second Moderna jab. Booster was like a watered down, shorter version of that. Fever, incredibly sore arm and rapid heart beat that stopped me from sleeping. Was ok after 36 hours.

Moderna still seems to offer the best protection so pleased to have had it.

Wonder what our protection is having 3 x Moderna?

I feel slightly achy after 4 hours.

IndigoC - was your fever as high with the booster as with the second jab? And how quickly did your symptoms start?

Dh had moderna for his first two and had a fever of 40 degrees after the second one and was shaking and bed ridden for half a day or so. Bit worried he will be the same after his booster if he has moderna - we are due to be travelling away the next afternoon.

DH has had the same. He was rough after jab 2 but only had a headache after booster.

Me. I had the booster last weekend. Felt like actual death the next day, whereas with jab one I had a sore arm, jab two felt a bit hungover. No idea why it effected me so badly. I am glad I had it on Saturday as I would have had to ring in sick to work on Sunday. By Monday I felt okay other than tired.

No, my fever was definitely less severe with the booster, and less prolonged. After my second Moderna it got up to 39.5 and it took me two days to shake the fever completely. With the booster it only got to 37.5 (shot up from 36 quite quickly though) and had gone down by the morning. Although I don’t think I actually measured it at it’s worst as I was in a bit of a delirium.

I had my booster at 5pm. I felt fine in the evening. Started to feel a bit off at around midnight and the fever peaked at 5am. It was all a lot more compressed in time.

Another study had it slightly outperforming 3x Pfizer.

At the vaccine centre I went to they were really pushing hydration, telling everyone to drink plenty of water or squash as apparently it really helps. I drink loads of water anyway.

I woke up in the night with a painful arm and a dry mouth, took some paracetamol and went back to sleep. I feel tired and washed out this morning but have been fine to come into work.

I had the booster three hours ago and have fever already. Hope that will be it.

Me. When I was at the vaccination clinic they had both Pfizer and Moderna and she was joking that I’d got bingo as I’d got all the same.

Jab 2 totally floored me, the others were ok.

Me. Worst side effects were for dose 2. I got tiredness, a red lump in my arm and 2 hours of sore muscles this time round.
