Anyone caught covid mixing outside?

Just wondering if anyone knows that they actually caught covid through outside mixing? Somehow, I seem to have a lot of offers/things booked, works drinks today (not going), meal date, two coffee dates and a funeral. Obviously can't avoid funeral, but just wondering whether to suggest meeting outside for other options - I know others would be onboard but still a lot of mixing.

Outdoor transmission is vanishingly rare. The CDC in the US did an analysis and it was responsible for something like 1 in 10,000 cases of infection

Yes. Still not entirely sure how and I think then it was highly unusual /unlikely.

I was walking a lot every day and passing people/ buyinh coffee from outdoor stands so just unlucky I think.

WheelieBinPrincess · 16/12/2021 10:42

Well how can you really know?!

But it’s really, really unlikely.

No one can really know.

I went to a gig a few weeks ago with 20,000 people outside and did not catch it - is that proof enough for you ?

Well I know for sure I did as at that stage we were still home deliveries/washing food/not seeing anyone. When I spoke to test and trace I wasnt the only one.

But as for risk of course outside is lower risk than inside. Less people lower risk than crowd etc. You know all this.
