NHS text Wales - Booster jab

Hi all,
Had a text from the NHS this evening saying they have opened up the booking for over 18s now. Has anyone else had this and found availability?
I thought Wales was still doing bookings by age. Am in Powys.

There is a booking form online. I just googled powys booster and found a form with some availability.

I've already got an appointment but was looking for my sister and kids who are in their 20s/30s. The text linked me to a form which allowed booking between 16th - 23rd but every day had no slots (in the area they could get to, anyway).
Just wondered if anyone else had had the text and if wales was moving away from booking by age, which I'd thought was the fairest system.

I got a letter dated 12/12 inviting me to one next month. I have a party on the day ive been given tried and tried calling them to rearrange. They don’t even have a queuing system. Just a message to say they are busy and to try again later.

No good when you’re working. Cant redial all bloody day.

But my friend who is a different GP to my had a next to go next week.

Im happy to wait , absolutely no rush to go.

If you are in Powys, there is an online form to let them know you can't make the appointment. Might be easier than trying to phone.
Seems like different health boards are doing their own thing.

Not in powys, north. No online facility neither. Ill try again tomorrow when I get the chance.

It's weird to get a text from the NHS saying to book but then when you try, not all the places offered have availability.

@MrsDThomas not sure where in the North you are but Betsi Cadwaladr have an online booking system for all over 18s now. None available yesterday afternoon but slots are being released in batches so need to keep checking.

Have tried to book for 18+but no availability in the places they can get to. Powys is huge and all at work, with hardly any time off because it's Christmas. Am just bemused that they are sending texts saying we can book, which makes it a bit of a free for all. I quite liked the age booking system because it seemed fair and meant that people got boosted in the order in which they'd had their 2nd jab. Now some 18 year olds can get their booster 3 months after their 2nd jab, whereas someone aged 35 might be waiting 6+ months if the slots are all taken. And now I know that younger people can get a slot I want them for my children and sister, but if I was being fair about it I recognise that those slots if I could get one, mean that someone older doesn't have one.
