How long until you tested negative?

Basically that,

My partner and I flew home to England from Ireland for the weekend and when taking our antigen test to return to Ireland on Sunday my partner tested positive.

How long after getting a positive result did it take for you to get negative?
We’re quarantining at the moment but have heard it can take weeks/months to test negative again :(

I had to do a PCR test 2 months after a positive test and that came back negative. I hadn't tried testing again before that so I could have tested negative earlier.

Test and trace told me not to do another pcr for 3 months as they can still show positive.
On the lateral flow tests I got bright pink positives Wed and Thurs, fainter on fri and barely a line but still there sat and sun, then clear since Monday
