Is anyone an NHS Volunteer Responder? How does it work?

Just that really? Am thinking of signing up as I have more time than I did last year.
How does the app/rota work? Do you sign up for the roles you're willing to do and then wait to be offered slots, or is it assigned in some way?

Not sure yet - I put my details in yesterday and am waiting to be verified. I think once you have been then you get details of what's available and you can then see what suits your schedule.
