Has anyone booked a Day 2 test since the new travel restrictions came in?

If so, could I ask which provider you used? DSis and BIL are flying in from an EU country on Monday and have asked if I could book one for them. I'm looking on the list of government approved providers and there are so bloody many of them I feel like I'll accidentally book the wrong one! Are they all much of a muchness?

We've got a Randox kit because there is a local drop off and we are getting back too late to use one of the airport sites. There are plenty of discount codes on airline sites.

Remember it doesn't have to be on Day 2, just within two days - so the sooner they have it, the sooner they'll be free.

Friends flying into the UK to see us booked one at the airport, had it done an hour or so after arrial and had the results about 20 hours later.

So maybe look for a provider at the airport they're flying in to?

Randox.
I’ve used them quite a few times and they deliver to your house if needed

Another for Randox. And you can do the test as soon as you arrive - you don't have to wait until day 2.

We have Randox for our upcoming trip. Mine and DHs have been delivered already since it has our predeparture test in too. But DDs won't be delivered until nearer our arrival date frustratingly. DH and I will test as soon as we get in the car and drop off on the way home.

Not really the point of the thread, but why can't your relatives book their own tests?

Plenty of options on-line (e.g. at airports on arrival with rapid results)

Or they could have the tesing kits sent to your home address and then do them when they arrive.

I've used randox earlier this year and it worked well. Check there is a drop off location convenient to you.
I tried to book airport tests for our UK arrival next week but there where no appointments available for the time we wanted. We went with Eurofin instead because they have a location near where we are staying.
I agree with pp, they should be doing this themselves. It takes ages to register and can be frustrating. It will be easier if it is done using their email address for results. They will also need the reference number for their passenger location form.

My mom used bio science (£35) and previously used expert medical (£20) Both were good with getting results back. Only reason we used a different company was that we couldn’t remember who we used before.

I've booked HALO verify tests at Heathrow T5 (Sofitel Hotel - we're not staying there, that's just where the test centre is) to take when we land. Results should come back within 24 hours.
