Have Test and Trace given up?

DD tested positive on Tuesday, along with half a dozen classmates. PCR result came back around 4.30pm and I had a missed call from Test and Trace at around 5pm (cooking dinner and had left phone on the side whilst I got something from the garage). No problem I thought, they'll ring back in a bit (previous experience as close contact). I've had phone with me and on ever since and nothing. We've been responsible and let people know anyway but surely they aren't just ringing once now? We don't even know when she can come out of isolation as nothing official sent - when do you count ten days from? - test was on Monday (no symptoms before). Also, I'm due to have my booster tomorrow. I've rung 119 to ask if it's still a good idea to get it even though I'm very likely to get Covid off DD and they unconvincingly said fine as long as you are negative on lateral flow on the day.

They are just very busy and a rapidly taking on staff

Count 10 days on from Monday, so Thursday next week is the last isolation date.
You need to get a PCR.

I know 26 people who have tested positive in the last 4 days, I'm sure they're just busy. They'll probably call back at some point.

Test and trace are pants. Me and dp are positive and thankfully haven't had a phone call as well filled in details online. With Ds, they kept ringing but no one talking, then got cut off. Then they couldn't help with me isolation query as ds had symptoms for days with negative tests before getting a positive. They were saying 'I don't know' or 'I think so'. They haven't sent any confirmation of DS's isolation end date either.

Symptoms starting or test day (if no symptoms) is day zero. So the next full day is day 1 so it's more like 11 days 🤦‍♀️ I only learnt this as Dp got ill last Sunday, pcr test same day and positive result early hours Monday. Day 1 was Monday, today is day 10 and back to work tomorrow!

I was quite impressed with them. DD's results arrived at midnight, they called at 7.30 the next morning. No idea what they do with all the info though, but it was very thorough.

They didn’t ring me at all. Not that I minded…
