Dd currently is waiting for a pcr test via post as she started with a cold on Friday evening and developed a slight cough on saturday (which she’s always had with a cold since she was 2) so I waited to see if it would go but it didn’t so i ordered a test yesterday. Her cough has since waned and we have done 4 lateral flow tests over the weekend and last 2 days and all have been negative. I’m pretty sure it’s just a cold but I was wondering if it is positive her 10 days would be up on Monday even though she probably won’t get results back until Thursday. It counts from the day of symptoms right. The cough and cold is literally they only thing she has, no high temp or loss of taste or smell, in fact she hasn’t stopped eating.
We haven’t taken her out anywhere. We have been pretty lucky and she and DP have been the only ones to need pcr over the last 2 years which have all been negative.

Test and trace would probably go with the cough being day 0, so Sunday being day 1, then 10 days from then and out of isolation next Wednesday.
