Can't get hold of lfts, 2 dds isolating with Covid.dh and me supposed to be testing daily but have no tests and can't get any. Do we have to do another pcr to check?

Dh and me both triple vaccinated

No pharmacies have them near us. Obviously the instructions to test every day are impossible!

Are they in school/ college? I know colleges / schools give out/ have some.

It’s yet another example of the government announcing strategies without consulting any of the people involved with the logistics and implementation of it

Give it a couple of days and supply will catch up with the new protocol demands but in the meantime is there anyone you could ask if they’ll give you a box? I have a couple of boxes at any one time due to an outbreak in dc’s school and wanting to be ready to visit a CEV relative if called. I’d give you a box. Alternatively ask your dc’s school, some of them have large stashes.

Order online. They arrive next day. Can only order one box a day but keep ordering a new box every day for a couple of days and you'll be covered

I had no idea PCR sites gave out LFTs. You learn something new every day. Do you have to book a PCR or can you just ask for a box of LFTs?

All sorts of places round here have boxes you can get - libraries, adult ed centres etc.

I second the PCR centre. They hand out boxes on your exit. Some employers also have boxes for staff.
In terms of PCR, if you're vaccinated and asymptomatic is day 2 and day 8. Hope ye are OK and DC is feeling well.
