Getting covid after 3 jabs (booster)

If anyone has caught covid after third jab/booster (2 + weeks after) how bad was it?
Or if you’ve had the 3 jabs, have you been close contact and managed not to catch it? Just wondering about it’s effectiveness in every day life as going by the stats coming out in the news it pretty much doubles your protection?

Research (obviously limited ) suggests that 75% of people in this situation have no symptoms.

Has friend had got omicron after having her booster, she’s just very tired- not scientific at all I know but there you go…

My dad caught it with all 3 jabs.. he is clinically vulnerable and had mild symptoms (headache and v tired..) nobody else in direct contact with him caught it. All triple jabbed.

I've not escaped yet but both my kids have covid first one a week ago, lots of cuddles and close contact I'm not ill yet...

I tested positive for COVID 16 days after my booster. Had cough, loss of taste/smell, headaches, tired. Still feeling tired now about 6 weeks later. Obviously not seriously poorly and was never worried about myself, but would still rather have not had it! Especially with the ongoing tiredness - that sucks!

That’s really reassuring to hear! If it doesn’t even lay you up in bed with flu like symptoms for a few days then that’s really promising!

Fingers crossed you dodge it @chipshopElvis - hope kids are ok!

I technically had covid after 3, but as I tested pos 4 days after booster it doesn’t really count as not full protection really for 21 days after booster. Covid was rubbish, heavy cold symptoms, in bed for 4 days and wiped out after, 3wks after having shortness of breath etc but honestly was not as bad as when I had flu 20yr ago which had me in bed for 2 Wk’s and thought I genuinely was going to die!

My son is on day ten of Covid today, I’ve had three jabs and not caught it, neither has my husband. Absolutely so happy I got the booster when I did!

I know someone who had it after three jabs, he was really concerned at the time. A week later he was perfectly fine (and he's in his 70s).

I know 3 people (family and close friends) that have got it after boosters, but this wasn’t Omicron.
They were all Asymptomatic when tested and 2 out of 3 just had the mildest headache. 1 lost their sense of smell/taste for a few days. There were otherwise completely fine.
They are all NHS staff.

We all caught it off DD2 last week. Grandparents who’d had their boosters and stayed with us during the time when DD2 must have been infectious have not caught it.

My Mum has had 3 jabs.

She started to feel unwell on Friday. Cold symptoms.

She's had a positive lft and is off for a pcr today.
