Congestion/sinus pain.

Covid positive. Feels like a head cold.

Extremely congested, sneezy and my sinuses are on fire. My head and face ache. I already have sinus issues which flare up from time to time when I got a cold - or covid it's really bloody painful.

I try to stay away from decongestants as I don't find them overly effective for me and make things worse.

Any other tips?

When I had a cold in April my sinuses were so painful for weeks so this isn't just isolated to covid. Just bloody annoying.

Paracetamol is probably best. Covid tends to cause inflammation and swelling of nasal and sinus mucosa rather than producing copious quantities of snot so decongestants don’t really work.
