You are asking the wrong question.10 days is the isolation period if you are in close contact. It doesn't mean that if you actually have Covid you should consider yourself fully recovered after 10 days.

What you need to ask is 'If you have had Covid, how were you feeling after 10 days?'

Use some common sense, you are clearly not well enough to return to normal levels of activity yet.

Day 7 of covid here and can barely make it to the top of the stairs without needing to sit down for a while. Can't imagine il feel like shopping after isolation finishes at this rate :-( Rest up! Covid is rubbish!

Agree, 10 days is not a magical number at which you are recovered. Since people are ill for weeks. Take it easy!

My DS has finished his isolation period but is definitely not well. His line manager spoke to him and has told him not to go back to work this week. He is alright for a few hours and then has to go back to bed for a sleep.

lambran · 13/12/2021 11:01

Yeah I probably didn't word that correctly .

Hope your feeling better soon, try take it easy for a few days and rest up. I'm also 2 days out of isolation, walked the kids to school this morning and nipped to the shop on the way back. By the time I got home I felt like I had been ran over by a truck.

When I had covid, I'm pretty sure it was being 'cooped up' that made me feel groggy and anxious.

10 days just when you not likely to pass it on. Took me 3 weeks feel a bit better. But if did too much felt rough again. Only now a few months later do I feel better.

My ten days is up on Tuesday so back to work Wednesday. Although I’m dying to go back to normality it’s a physical job where I will be on my feet all day and I’m nervous I’m not going to be ok!

I hope your face is ok and your headache passes.

maggiso · 13/12/2021 14:26

Sounds like you tried to do too much too soon! Listen to your body - it’s telling you you are not nearly well enough to go shopping.I know it’s a shock to feel dizzy and unwell when you have previously not had your body let you down like that!

Get properly well - ( forget the soon) but take it very gently!

RozHuntleysStump · 13/12/2021 14:30

I’m on day 14 and just had a 3 hour nap. I’m so tired.

Your 10 days is only up if you are isolating but not actually tested positive for Covid.

If you are recovering from Covid and still sick there is no 10 day limit!

OP i made the same mistake . Usually an intelligent kind of person but just assumed right that's it , 10 days done and now I'm good to go ! I think it was the pressure of the run up to Christmas .... but I felt rough for at least another week .
Even DS a sprightly 7 year old was still having the odd headache/ tummy ache a week on from his isolation period.
