Where to read the scientists’ opinion?

Can anyone recommend websites where we can read what the scientists are saying rather than relying on what comes through Boris?
I am following Tim Spector through the Zoe App.

There are some excellent scientists on twitter.
Try sailorooscout who is a scientist working on the moderna vaccine. There are some good journalists, in particular John Burn-Murdoch from the Financial Times.
I also follow Neil Stone who is an infectious diseases doctor from London & apparently the first person to use the word "Covid".
Covid Fact Check UK is good.
There are many others as well.

Thanks - there is such a fine like between info overload that I had switched off from social media but I will resume Twitter.
Boris telling us to work from home but still go to the office Christmas party has tipped me over the edge!

Tim Spector is my go-to source of all Covid info. I watch his weekly YouTube video report and basically try to ignore everything else!

Good thread OP. Watching.

I confess to having a little bit of a crush on Tim Spector! I went to a talk he gave on his research into the gut microbiome. Absolutely fascinating stuff

The people I follow on Twitter for covid-related stuff are (in no particular order):

  • Devan Sinha
  • The Sharing Scientist
  • Colin Davis
  • Swaledale Mutton Co. (He is genuinely a scientist!)
  • Danny Altmann
  • Edward Nirenberg
  • James Ward
  • Meaghan Kall
  • Kai Kupferschmidt
  • Bloom lab
  • Gupta lab
  • Trevor Bedford
  • Stuart Neil
  • John Burn Murdoch
  • Andrew Croxford
  • John Roberts
  • Matt Fletcher
  • Susan Hopkins
  • Oliver Johnson
  • Muge Cevik
  • Tim Spector
  • Francois Balloux
  • Adam Kucharski
  • Andrew Lilico

I don't necessarily agree with all of the time, but I feel like they give a good overview of covid science/Maths/modelling/epidemiology. I don't particularly rate Tim Spector. He doesn't have a background in virology or infectious diseases and I think some of his tweets are misleading or downright wrong.

I’d add @chrischirp and @trishgreenhalgh
