How do they know that two vaccines are not enough in respect of Omicron?

@BubblingRiver

"Same here, love. I climbed a mountain in Switzerland a couple of months ago, do competitive sport twice a week and have just been on a 20K hike."

Course you have, strange as I see you here most nights ready to detonate in rage like a dynamite filled radish. I hope they had wifi on this fictitious mountain you visited

Nope, they didn't have wifi on the mountain...it was lovely and relaxing! Highly recommend it! You should definitely go there yourself.

Oh no wait...they wouldn't let you in without a jab within the last six months.

Oh well.

@BubblingRiver

Standing on a stool in your kitchen to grab a chcolate swiss roll from the top shelf to continue on your NHS draining lifestyle does not qualify as " climbing a swiss mountain" I'm afraid *@megustalacerveza* . That said at least you are having 3 minutes away from typing rubbish on here which appears every night. I suppose we should be grateful for small mercies in these grim times
Haha oh you do make me laugh. I've got the feeling karma is going to bite you very, very hard. 'Pride comes before a fall', as they say.

2 jabs isn’t enough for some people against delta or omicron if those jabs are old. My Db is in hospital with delta after 2 old jabs. A very significant proportion of people in hospital are double jabbed with a booster not having been offered soon enough.

In some countries, antibody level tests are widely available on a walk in basis. Jab immunity drops quite quickly.

Plus let’s not forget that the 2 jabs were originally supposed to have been given at with an interval of 3 weeks, not 12 weeks. As per manufacturer instructions.

Dishhh · 13/12/2021 01:17
@Dishhh oh my word. You haven’t got any intelligent responses to these reasons so you trot out the ‘you get your information from Facebook’ line whilst telling the poster that their words were trite. Yeah ok. Irony at it’s best.
Bubbling was giving some valid reasons why she didn’t want endless boosters because you asked.
Many many people feel the same and guess what- they haven’t got their thoughts and views from Facebook ffs.
What an idiotic line to patronise someone.
Sure you must be a gem
It wasn't me who asked. And I wouldn't bother attempting to respond to those reasons as they have been trotted out so frequently, both here and on Facebook, that seeing them again is tiring. Bubbling either has a captive mind or is baiting. I'd go for no.2.

@BubblingRiver I couldn't give a shiny shit what you do with your body. I'm not going to let your nonsense, lies and misinformation go unchallenged.

Some people have done lots of research and have decided not to go for the booster because they genuinely don't think it's right for them having weighed up the risk vs reward. Others are poorly informed and spout outright lies and misleading information. No prizes for guessing where you land.

@BubblingRiver

I don't use facebook *@Dishhh , that's reserved for people like you and @megustalacerveza* drunk on here most of the night every night unable to spell their own username let alone say much else.

How funny! You don't even appreciate how usernames work. (And I use Facebook once in a blue moon for family stuff, BTW.)

@BubblingRiver I don't need to back it up. I haven't said anything that isn't grounded in science and supported by dozens of experts.

I can't wait for my next holiday. Hope you enjoy being stuck in the UK...hey, might not rain EVERY day.

@BubblingRiver yes, everyone will get covid, as I said. You're clearly just a troll at this point, so I'm done with you.

DiscontentedWoman · 13/12/2021 04:45

@Amberflames

Plus not one of the fuckers at those parties were vaccinated at all and they weren't bloody worried about catching Covid and taking it home to their families over Christmas were they?

Probably because they already knew they weren’t going to be seeing their families.

So they all lived alone did they? No husbands, wives, children??
walksen · 13/12/2021 04:57

"What's wrong with letting our immune systems do their job?"

Great idea. Let's stop jabbing kids for childhood diseases and trust their immune systems too!
After all no baby is old and it's not like they smoke eat and drink too much.

Here is an article in the Lancet of efficacy of vaccines and boosters.

gofg · 13/12/2021 06:20

I’ve had the flu vaccine every year my whole life, it’s never seemed endless to me. It stops me getting ill and having to take time out of my life to recover. I feel the same about the covid vaccine, I’ll have one whenever I’m offered one.

I really struggle to understand people who don’t want boosters!

I agree. What is so difficult about having as many boosters as are needed? It's a short time out of a day, hardly difficult. And before anyone piles on about side effects, I haven't had any, and nor has anyone I know.

withgraceinmyheart · 13/12/2021 07:22

@cheeriobye yes I agree. Pretty early on I was saying to my husband ‘oh this is going to rolled in with the flu jab at some point’. No biggie to those of us used to having it! Strange if you’re not used to it I suppose.

Yeah I understand the point about having to have them more frequently, particularly for people with side effects even if they are mild. Hopefully it doesn’t come to that!

withgraceinmyheart · 13/12/2021 07:37

@BubblingRiver sorry our conversation started ages ago and you’ve been talking to many others since then!

Yeah I can see the point about side effects if you’ve had them in the past. I personally never had them and don’t know anyone who has. Covid has side effects too though, and they’re statistically more likely than from the jab?

Im guessing you’re younger, since you aren’t at risk of covid at the moment. Will you start taking the vaccine in the future? I’m just wondering when you’d start.

Have you got kids? One of the major factors for me is not wanting them to have to talk time off school/miss out of thing they enjoy because of covid. I know they can still get it from other places, but at least they won’t get it from me.

Sorry for all the questions. I don’t ask people IRL about vaccines at all, so I don’t have the chance to talk about it.
