Faint positive

Hi,

DH is extremely tired, woke up with horrendous headaches. He never suffers with headaches and he generally feels run down.

This is his lateral flow, to me I would say it's positive without a doubt.

He's been for a PCR at 3pm so we're awaiting results.

DS2 has a temp of 38.1 and is off his food, but his lft is negative.

DH says he's had faint positive LFTs like this before and his PCR has always come back negative.

Has anyone had a result like this and had a positive PCR?

*also ignore my nails I have to re-paint them

He did 3, one last night and two today to see if the line was getting stronger.

DD1‘s looked like that, positive PCR two days later.

Yes, DS had very faint positive LFT followed by positive PCR.

With those symptoms too I'd say positive

Mine was like that…. The next morning it was bright red

Thanks everyone. He's a bit down lately with all the news and the new variant so I think he's clutching at straws to try and hope it could be negative. He's said this has happened before and he had to take time off work and had a negative PCR.

He should have the results tomorrow so I'll update the thread but I think we know the answer, especially with DS not feeling great too

My Dds was very feint and she was positive. Mine was bright red straight away. PCR will confirm.

PCR negative

I have now had 5 Lateral flows just like that, followed by 5 negative PCRs , over a period of 3 months. Have never had any symptoms.

Whereabouts are you roughly? I have positive lateral flows and really symptomatic, PCR was negative. There don't seem to be any PCR tests available at the moment so I'm not sure what to do 🤦🏼‍♀️

Just wondering if something odd is going on with the PCRs like in October.

I'm north west, nothing on the news about faulty PCRs but the new variant is spreading like wildfire round here apparently
