PCR Results Delay?

Three days is average for postal at the moment. Hardly surprising given the number of needless tests being carried out at the moment. (I read on AIBU about a whole school getting tested “just in case”)

Posted three on Friday morning, one was back at 4am today, another at 8am. Still waiting for the third.

Right, thanks all. But annoying for work. Do I go in or work from home? I’m a teacher and I didn’t have any LFTs left so this is all based on my symptoms of muscle aches, headache, fatigue and bad cough.

I posted Tuesday and results came back late last night.

If you have a cough you isolate until negative PCR. Annoying that it's taken a while but you can't go in

So still waiting for Friday’s result. I called 119 and they said it’s delayed and they are doing investigations. So I had to go to a drive thru for another PCR test. Absolute rigmarole!!

Why not just be patient? Testing again just escalates the problem further.

Then they should set up their own testing provisions, not overwhelm the testing labs. 🙄

You have a cough. Isolate until the results come back.
