Test and trace phone call.. nothing after!

Ds 10 has tested positive this weekend. Test and trace rang early this morning to ask who he'd been in contact with when his symptoms started and isolation ends date was discussed.

But heard nothing since phone call . No text or email confirmation on isolation end? Dp had a meagre of text messages afterwards!

Normal?

I mean, it's barely 2pm and it's a Sunday. Did they tell you over the phone what the isolation end date should be?

Test results came through yesterday, phone call early today 8am. Don't know how it works, never done this before!

Dp for text and emails straight away. Not sure if it was different for kids!

Yeah but he wasn't very helpful. He didn't seem sure. Ds had symptoms earlier in the week but had tested negative on a pcr so I was counting it from later positive pcr and the guy was counting it from symptoms starting despite negative pcr.

I didn’t get a phone call at all. They sent a couple of texts reminding me to stay at home but that was it.

I wouldn't worry about it and just count your blessings that you've not heard anything more. I've had my first dealings with test and trace this week and they have been utterly ridiculous. They've told DD to isolate for 13 days. DH tested positive two days after DD and as DH hadn't been anywhere I'm sure he's caught it off her and yet his isolation finishes one day before her.

Did your daughter symptoms start after the positive test?

@ChristmasCovid No DD is asymptomatic. I'm going to let her go out a day earlier than test and trace say she can. It will be 12 days after her positive test.
