Hi all.
Dp has covid and tested positive last weekend. He's back to work later this week. He caught it at work, Ds tested positive yesterday.
I had a cough about the same sort of time as Dp getting it which has progressively got worse over the week. Cough cough cough. Pcrs done on Sunday, Tuesday and Friday - all negatives. Done a few lft's and all negative until today's lft - positive. I have no new symptoms so it was just precaution.. I did feel shivery and achey on Wednesday/Thursday but as above tested as above on Friday and negative.
Going for a pcr later and obviously I will isolate for 10 days because I have no way of knowing if my cough in the last week was covid or something else. I assume not covid as tests were negative.
Fridays pcr test wasn't the best swab. The nasal swab had quite a lot of mucus on it. I didn't realise until last minute.
I've been isolating at home with Dp and dc anyway as I'm currently off work can do this. Will isolate again if pcr is positive which it will be given 2 positive lft's today.
I have similar with Ds. He's been coughing all
Week to. Mondays and Wednesdays tests were negative but Fridays positive!
I don't know whether I'm coming or going tbh!
I've spoken to test and trace today and they wanted to start DS's isolation from last Monday when his cough started but he had a negative test on Monday and Wednesday, so I told them I would start it from Friday when his test was negative just because I want to keep everyone safe and isolate properly!
