Do we need to do anything online?

DH has been contacted by T&T via email
He's done LFTs since the contact which he knew about and all neg.
He's fully vaccinated
The contact was now 11 days ago so even if he had to self isolate (which we assume he didn't as fully vax) that time would be up.

Does he need to log onto the NHS test and trace website and enter details? It says you should where as other instructions say you must so we are wondering if this is actually required?

Seems pointless as he didn't need to isolate and the time was up yesterday?

He WFH and so we know it is that person as he's not seen anyone else & they told him that they'd told T&T hence why DH has been testing.

The one question we have is what about if it was Omicron - would that email have stated that? He saw the person just before all this omicron kicked off properly so it's likely not & the person hasn't said that they know they have it and I assume they would have known from their PCR?

Obviously if we have to put details in online by law we will but we are very data conscious and don't put data out there unless we HAVE to and since it's now day 11..... And he's seen no one else other than me & I test anyway for work... It feels like we don't have to!

I don't know if it's relevant but neither my DH nor me have had any symptoms during what would have been the ten days, nor have our kids.

What does the email actually say?
If your dh was never tested for covid/doesn't have covid then I'm not sure why they'd want his details

It just said as he is a close contact he should log his details online.

But then other guidance says the things you "must* do... So to me should doesn't mean he has to!

I'd maybe just ignore it then
