If you've been in contact with someone who then tests positive how long do you keep testing for and when would you start to relax that you're hopefully in the clear?

We decided to do daily lfts and pcrs on day 6/7. And obviously do a pcr earlier if symptoms develop.

ColettesEarrings · 11/12/2021 21:21

Pfft. PCRs on day 2 and 6/7

JanglyBeads · 11/12/2021 21:28

You’re officially supposed to do one PCR.

dillydallydollydaydream7 · 11/12/2021 21:35

I did LFTs on days 2 and 3, then a PCR on day 5

dillydallydollydaydream7 · 11/12/2021 21:35

Also did lft on day 8

Bettyboodoingthedo · 11/12/2021 21:54

Thank you. Been doing lft twice daily for 7 days and no symptoms. Still extremely anxious

I think we did pcr on the same day as the kids, a few lft tests until day 6 then went back to symptom spotting. Not sure that's going to work with this new variant

ColettesEarrings · 11/12/2021 22:22

@JanglyBeads Couldn't care less tbh.

When dd had it we did PCR at same time as her, daily LFT throughout her 10 days isolation then a PCR at the end of her isolation be sure.
