Does this test from July look positive?

Do you think this test looks positive?
This was a lateral flow taken in July.

At the time my partner said he couldn’t see a line at all so I thought I was just seeing things. Now I’m looking back at old photos and thinking that this was in fact a positive. We were isolating at the time because one of my dd’s nursery workers had covid and all isolated for the full 10 days so I didn’t put anyone else at risk.

Yes I can see a second line.

I also ended up having blood tests done by the doctors a couple of months later because I’d been so run down. The blood tests showed that I had low white blood cells but they didn’t know why, they tested me for a couple of weeks and my white blood cells went back up.

White blood cells often do that.
I can't see a line but I am on my phone.

Bigfathairyones · 11/12/2021 17:22

yep

Queenfreak · 11/12/2021 17:24

I can see positive result on the second photo

Lushplease · 11/12/2021 17:24

I can't see a second line, no.

We had this dilemma. Dp took his first ever lft for work and sent me a pic, I didn't take any notice to photo, he's blind as a bat and did it in dim light. Looking back it looks like there was a very faint line in one photo but not the other (same test two different photos). It's too late to know though and dp actually has covid at the minute. His lft was a strong and instant positive this time!

Tinysnickers · 11/12/2021 17:28

Id say yes if the photos were taken 30mins after the day. If they'd been left a long time they do sometimes get an evaporation mark.

I have no idea now! I’ve requested an antibody test for the third time (heard nothing back from the first two). I’m pregnant and a teacher so it would be reassuring if I had had it to be honest.

Cookerhood · 11/12/2021 17:35

Unless the antibody test is specifically for the n antigen it will only tell you that you've either had it in the last 6 months or been vaccinated.

Weredone · 11/12/2021 17:38

@Cookerhood oh really that’s a shame - thankyou for letting me know! Can you pay for an antibody test specifically for the n antigen?

In the 7 days leading up to my positive PCR, my LFTs looked like yours and I mistakenly thought they were negative...

bluejelly · 11/12/2021 17:41

Have you had your booster jab? That would be give you many more antibodies than previous infection in July

Cookerhood · 11/12/2021 17:41

I think so, yes, but double check before you pay out!

Weredone · 11/12/2021 17:49

@bluejelly I’m under 40 and don’t qualify for one yet in my area (I’ve tried to register). I’ve signed up for the wastage waiting list in the meantime so hopefully they will contact me if they have any spares.

@Cookerhood thanks!

We've just had two DC and my DH with covid. All of them had lft that looked like this by day 3 at the very latest so if you do one every morning for a few days and the line gets stronger you know it's a real positive!

@Handholdtoday that’s interesting. I don’t remember being ill, just very rundown- but then I have a toddler so that wouldn’t be uncommon.

Best of luck OP. I'm sure it won't be long 🤞

According to what Ive read [ Sorry can't remember sources] but one was Dr John Campell, previous infection does not give you immunity to this variant.

Mummyme87 · 11/12/2021 19:56

I think it’s negative. If you have to squint,
It’s not there.

The run down thing though, I’m currently isolating again (covid take 3 for me), and I just felt a bit run down which I put down to work. Turns out it’s covid. LFT negative but PCR positive
