Why are office staff being asked to work from home when everyone else is carrying on as normal? has any thought gone into what will happen to the shops and food outlets which serve office staff? Huge loss of footfall and revenue

Exactly! Although general consensus today is majority of employers of people I know my own included are still continuing with hybrid working for those who want to so at least that’s something for the “support” businesses that are impacted by WFH. A lot of people seem to think sitting in your living room working vs. in the office has no impact on the economy but it really does! That and mental health. The isolation from WFH is hell for a lot of people.

Fuck knows.

Staff in the coffee shop near my office were despondent. The City will be even more dead than it is already.
