Dh tested positive 72 days ago. It's the work Christmas party tomorrow and they are being asked to do lateral flows before going. Totally fair enough. Dh did his today while I was at work and in his opinion the result wasn't clear. The whole test window was pink and blurry. But instead of just doing another one he panicked and went for a pcr! My understanding is that you can still test positive for up to 90 days so pretty pissed off with him right now. I know he was trying to do the right thing but if it comes back positive how will we know that it isn't just left overs from the previous infection? Or do you think the chances are very low after 70 odd days? This is what I'm hoping. Obviously if he genuinely has caught it again then that's fine but having to isolate him unnecessarily would be really annoying and disruptive for the the rest of us.
