Anyone still shielding?

Just that really. 54 yo. Shielding as DH has leukaemia and oncologist advice is to stay shielding.

I only know of one other person in my situation. My parents in their 80’s go out more than me.

Yes, unfortunately. Not as incredibly rigidly as before the vaccines (i.e. not even going in the garden), but advised to continue to shield. It's scary every time I'm in a situation where, pre-pandemic, I'd have been in hospital no question...but now the risk has to be evaluated at speed every time.

And just found out my sibling won't be coming home for Christmas because of Omicron. Sad
